Tessera · your AI team, on your Mac

A sentence in. A real teammate out.

Tessera is the desktop where you build AI teammates. Describe the job — it builds the agent: a face, a personality, your tools connected. Talk to them like people. Team them into a company that keeps working until it ships. All on your Mac.

The shift

Work was never one job. It was always a team.

Specialists — each one truly good at its job, each at its own desk, all in the same room. Now you build that team yourself.

Every kind of work — inbox, code, design, support.

Each job gets its own specialist. Together, that's your team.

01Build anyone

One for the inbox. One for the code. One for whatever's next.

Every teammate is built the same way — a sentence from you, a repo you point at, or a read of how you actually work. QA, coding, research, support, follow-ups, your books. If you can describe the job, you can build the worker.

Mira
Inbox manager
Triages everything, drafts in your voice, never sends without asking.
Vega
Backend engineer
Lives in your repo — branches, builds, tests, opens the PR.
Quill
QA & testing
Drives the real app, hunts regressions, files what she finds.
Idris
Research scout
Reads the web every morning, briefs you before your coffee.
Cleo
Customer support
Answers from your docs, escalates the ones that need a human.
Sawyer
Outreach & follow-ups
Chases who's gone quiet — gently, never more than twice.
Felix
Finance & invoices
Keeps the books tidy, flags what doesn't add up.

Build your own
one sentence is enough

Each one a real worker on your Mac — with its own personality, memory, skills and tools.

500+ connectors through Composio. Any MCP server. Every connection authorized by you, on your machine — Tessera never holds the token.

02Your agents

Talk to every one of them.

Open any agent and it's all there in plain words — who she is, what she knows about you, what she's allowed to do. Change her personality. Swap her brain. Then just talk.

Mira, what's waiting on me?
Three things need you — Lena's contract question, the invoice from Apex, and a yes/no on Friday's demo.
Everything else is triaged. Nine replies are drafted and waiting for your ok.
Send the easy ones. I'll take Lena.

03Their desks

Every agent gets the right desk.

Adam runs your whole day from one chat. Vega lives in files, terminal and diffs. Iris designs on a real canvas. Nova runs the campaign board. Same teammates, different desks — each one sits where the work actually happens.

One team. Any desk. More desks are coming — sales, finance, research.

04The company

Then give them one goal — together.

Put a few agents in a company and talk to the lead. She writes the plan, hands out the work, and keeps you out of the weeds. You say what done means. They get there.

You talk to one

Juno runs the standup so you don't have to. Status, not transcripts.

They hand work to each other

Nova's drafts cite Idris's research. Found work gets filed, picked up, finished.

Quit. Reopen. They carry on.

The plan lives on disk, not in anyone's head. Done means a fresh pair of eyes said so.

You've met the team. Now build yours.

And all of it lives on your Mac.

Your agents, their memories, every conversation — files on your computer. Yours to read, yours to keep. Nothing leaves without your yes.

~/.tessera/agents/mira — that's her, right there on your disk.

05Questions

The things people ask first.

Is it Mac only?
Today, yes — Tessera ships as a Mac desktop app, and that's where the beta lives. A bring-your-own-cloud version is on the way, so a team can also run Tessera on infrastructure it owns (your own Vercel / Cloudflare project). Either way, it's never our infrastructure.
Which AI model does it use?
Your choice. You bring your own model key from the major providers, and you can swap the model behind any teammate anytime — a teammate isn't tied to one brain.
Does it work offline?
The app itself runs on your Mac, but asking a teammate to think means reaching your chosen model's API — so you're online for that. Your agents, memories and credentials still live only on your machine; the model only ever sees the request you send it.
Where does my data live? Does Tessera see it?
On your Mac, in ~/.tessera — files you own and can read. Tessera the company runs no servers and never sees your data. The only thing that leaves your machine is a request to your model provider, and nothing leaves without your yes.
What does it cost?
Free during the private beta. You only pay for your own model usage, billed by your provider on your own key. We'll talk pricing openly, long before we ever charge you.
When do invites go out?
In small waves, not all at once. Apply and tell us what you'd build first — if you're a fit for the next wave, you'll hear from us at the email you gave.
